  • "I'm a fifty something lifelong athlete with a history of a wide range of relatively minor sports injuries, AND I'm still doing all the things I love! Rachel customizes my workouts for what is going on with me and helps me keep my whole body strong and ready to go... CYCLING! hiking, nordic skiing, paddling, swimming, etc."

  • “Rachel is amazing! Her method of physical therapy makes sense and is completely individualized. I’ve done physical therapy with other places but they are all about fast-paced, 30 minute, 2x a week sessions and then getting you out. Rachel really takes to time to talk with you, see what is going on and getting you relief and strategies to help before working on retraining your body. We meet once a week and then slowly go to seeing each other a little less all while working on your goals. She is easy to get in touch with. I’ve already seen improvements in just a few sessions. I will never go back to traditional physical therapy again!"

  • "Rachel is phenomenal! Not only is she so easy to get along with, but she really listens to her patient’s needs. I have seen her interact with different personalities, and she always makes everyone feel comfortable, along with having fun while working on targeted areas. She is so caring and creative, with options of various exercises that work for specific pains and injuries. She is so knowledgeable about the body, and I couldn’t recommend her more!!!"

    — Bethany M.

  • “Rachel was amazing to work with and I highly recommend her practice! My daughter was a patient for a concussion she received with a sport injury. Rachel not only helped get my daughter return healthily to compete in the sport that she loves, but she also made me and my daughter feel at ease during the whole process.”

  • "Rachel has a keen understanding of the inter-relatedness of the body's physiology and tailors her physical therapy program accordingly. While I visited SOMA Physical Therapy and Wellness to treat an ankle sprain, I quickly learned that much of my instability came from other areas of my body in need of strengthening. I was in the middle of completing my 200 hour yoga teacher training when I was injured, and Rachel tailored my rehab program to meet the specific needs of my body, not simply the sprain at hand. This lead to a speedy recovery and helped me gain much more confidence on my mat - enhancing my practice as both a student and training teacher. If you are looking for an individualized and caring approach to physical therapy, look no further. SOMA PT and Wellness is your spot - not only will Rachel help treat your injury, but she'll give you the tools to be a stronger and more confident YOU! Five stars all around!"

  • "Rachel has been a life saver for me! I have severe scoliosis and deal with constant pain. I almost immediately was able to walk longer distances without the pain being overwhelming and after just 8 visits I gained a half an inch in height. This is huge for someone with severe scoliosis. Rachel is kind, knowledgeable, and takes the time to make sure your treatment plan is right for you! Highly recommend for anyone dealing with pain or someone who wants a tailored Pilates plan!"

    — Sarah B.

    — Nicole T.

  • "I highly recommend Rachel!!! I have been to many PT’s and hands down she is the best! She is extremely knowledgeable and understands which exercises to apply to best advance your healing progress. She is constantly modifying the exercises based on your level of performance and is always conscious of your comfort level. She loves to see the fruits of her labor and gets genuinely excited when she sees your improvements! When you have an hour appointment with Rachel, she dedicates all 60 minutes to you. She does not connect you to a machine, go work with another patient, and send you home when you are done. It is one-on-one for the entire hour. My surgeon cannot believe how I have progressed since my Achilles surgery. He said, “There is nothing more I can do for you, just do what Rachel tells you – she obviously knows what she is doing”. Set up an appointment with Rachel, you won’t be disappointed!"

  • "Rachel helped me get back to playing my sport faster than I ever could have hoped after a pretty unique and intense knee surgery. She’s extremely knowledgeable and passionate about modern practices, which is evident in her individualized recovery plans for each patient. I knew I could trust her every step of the way. I would (and do) absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting the best physical therapy around."

  • "I highly recommend SOMA Physical Therapy. The Onboarding process was thorough and organized, and most importantly, it calmed my fears about starting Physical Therapy. Rachel Fischer PT, DPT, OCS is not only brilliant but kind and really listens and supports me. She answers my thousands of questions. She looks at your whole body to get to the root cause of the problem. I feel stronger and am moving better. Going to SOMA has been one of the best decisions of my life. Thank you, SOMA!"

  • "It’s about time I left a review. Dr. Rachel Fischer is absolutely amazing. For background I had broken my talus and had 3 sprains in my ankle. I spent MONTHS going to PT 2-3x a week. I’d be hooked up to a TENs unit, and then shuttled to some random group of machines or exercises. It was clear when I was asked “what did you do last time” by a different aid that there was no system or plan in place for me. In fact, the TENs unit was masking some of the issues I had. I ended up needing surgery because I was not progressing, and had found a new fracture during it. Fast forward to Rachel. I spend a full hour with her attention. She’s available to correct me, give me cues and explain what’s we’re doing and why. No other patients to distract her. All ligament pain is gone. Before, I could not squat, jump, run, or even walk normally. I had developed hip pain, hamstring issues and nerve issues which are pretty much all gone. I have progressed quickly without pushing past what my body was telling me, thanks to her knowledge. I was told what pain was acceptable without needing to be a Dr myself to understand what she was saying. I didn’t think I’d be able to go a full day without adjusting how to go up and down stairs or where I have to step this year. You should not hesitate to get a consultation with her. It has been the best decision I’ve made in a while. My surgeon and orthopedic has been very very happy and surprised at my progress"
