Mat Pilates Class Offerings
-
Designed for all-levels of Pilates movers! Using props for support or a challenge, this class will involve slow, intentional exercises following progressions so you build to a level that fits your practice.
-
Intermediate/Advanced class. Designed for the active adult seeking athletic moves combined with Pilates concepts and focused core strengthening. Weights, athletic programming (e.g., AMRAP, EMOM) and multiple circuits will be involved. Don't worry Pilates purists-- we won't forget the Series of 5 or The 100s!
-
This is the heart of SOMA Mat Pilates. Think yoga meets Pilates (no, not PiYo)-- repetitive and predictable Pilates exercises you will learn quickly. By using this method, you may not nail each move every time but your body will begin to anticipate each one, helping you build up to a solid mat practice. We won't follow the classical order but there will be classical exercises! Don't be intimidated by our use of "advanced"- just be prepared to come and LEARN, not perfect, these moves. We promise you will leave feeling empowered and more confident than you think.
-
This class is designed to compliment your current fitness practice. During this class, you will gain insight into improving your body awareness and joint mobility, all while promoting tissue and joint recovery. We will incorporate principles of physical therapy, rehabilitation, and Pilates to offer you a fully restorative experience.
Reformer Pilates.
Currently offering private reformer sessions.
The Holy Grail. Reformer Pilates is a dynamic workout that uses a specially designed machine to provide adjustable resistance, helping you strengthen and tone muscles while improving flexibility. This low-impact exercise is perfect for all fitness levels, offering a full-body workout that focuses on core strength, posture, and body alignment. Whether you're recovering from an injury or looking to enhance your fitness, Reformer Pilates provides a safe, effective way to transform your body and improve overall wellness.
Your Pilates instructor/therapist will provide 1:1 support and planning during each session to ensure you benefit from the Pilates principles of breathing, concentration, centering, control, precision and flow.
