How it works: SOMA’s 3 Step Process
Step 1: Reset
Our first step is symptom-relief. The goal is to get you feeling and moving better. This may include manual therapy, load modification, and down-regulation techniques of the nervous system. You and your physical therapist will work diligently together as you navigate the recovery process.
Step 2: Restore
Our second step is to address the root cause of your pain. Physical Therapy shouldn’t stop once you’re pain free: in order to stay healthy, we need to correct the underlying issue. Together, we will work towards restoring normal body mechanics, soft tissue/joint mobility, and strength. This is a key step!
Step 3: Reclaim
Our third step is to reclaim your health and fitness. Our goal is to get you back to full unrestricted activity and build resiliency, while keeping you healthy and symptom-free long term. Your physical therapist will provide you with the knowledge and tools to help with long term success.
